A growing share of our users don’t open dashboards. They ask an AI assistant to “audit my store’s SEO and fix what’s safe to fix” — and expect the tools underneath to cooperate. We think this is the biggest interface shift since mobile, and we’ve been rebuilding our products around it.
What “agent-ready” means to us
It’s more than having an API. An agent-ready product needs:
- A protocol agents speak. Both RankEngine and AutoSEO expose MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, so assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can discover and call their capabilities directly — run an audit, pull keyword data, apply a fix.
- Structured, documented surface area. AutoSEO ships OpenAPI specs and OAuth flows, so agents (and developers) integrate without reverse-engineering anything.
- Safe defaults. Agents get the same guardrails as humans: rate limits, audit trails, scoped tokens, and reversible changes. RankEngine’s verified-fix model matters even more when a machine is pressing the buttons — every write is re-read from the live store before it’s trusted.
Why a small company bets on this early
Being early to a platform shift is one of the few advantages a bootstrapped company has. We can’t outspend incumbents on ads, but we can make our products the ones that work best inside the AI-native workflows their customers are quietly adopting.
The same thesis drives our SEO products themselves: search is moving from ranked links to AI answers, and the tooling has to optimize for both. Building for AI agents and optimizing for AI search are two sides of the same shift.
